Easingwold Town AFC Senior section was established in 1892 and were founder members of the York and District league. We are one of only three remaining founder clubs and currently run three adult teams. The first team are the highest ranked team in the Easingwold area, playing in the York and District Premier Division. The reserves participate in Reserve League A and the third team play in the Beckett League Division 2. The 2009/10 season was one of the most successful in recent history as both teams won promotion to the top divisions. The third team were founded ahead of the 2012/13 season.
In the mid 90’s the Junior Section was established by Peter Nottage with the aim of providing opportunities for participation in football for local boys and girls in the Easingwold and surrounding area. This aim is being achieved and exceeded by providing structured coaching in a fun environment and through competitive play in local leagues. The club currently offers mixed mini soccer coaching and games from U6-U10 and has a full pathway for boys and girls from U11 through to open age football.
In July 2003 the Club were honoured to be recognised as an FA Charter Standard Development Club. We are committed to the ongoing development of our coaches and players and we were delighted when the Club was awarded FA Charter Standard Community Club Status in December 2010 (the highest ranking availabe from The FA).
The ladies team, known locally as Easingwold Angels were formed in 2010 by Mark Sherwood and in their second season won promotion to the North East Women’s Combination League that sees them travel as far as Northumberland to play fixtures. The ladies team continues to go from strength to strength and currently run two teams.
